A Place of New Beginnings is a faith based non-profit re-entry program serving the needs of prisoners released from the Chesapeake City Jail. Under the leadership of Marianne Chalk, Director, and Board of Directors, and through case management assistance, the following services will be provided for released prisoners:

~Identification of prisoner needs
~Assignment of a mentor
~Development of a life recovery plan
~Coordination of needs through community partnerships.
~Employment assistance
~Restoration of relationships
~Referrals for safe housing

Our vision is summarized in our mission statement:
“Inspired by Christ’s compassion and in collaboration with community resources, A Place of New Beginnings offers resources and direction to ex-prisoners providing an opportunity to re-enter society as productive and responsible citizens.”
